Squawk & trading sounds

Voices, price language and headphones

Configure spoken prices, tick precision, voice mixing, pitch and directional audio.

Voice profiles and sources

Signature, Studio, Calm, Inside Broadcast and Pit Precision provide selectable voice settings. A selected card remains marked while its preset fields match; manual changes may clear the mark. Recorded voice banks supply supported alert phrases. Dynamic numeric prices use an installed English browser voice. Browser voice availability varies by device.

Spoken modes

Off disables the selected spoken market mode. Price reads changing prices; Trades describes executions; Pit adds flow commentary. Inside market describes quote direction, while the combined mode adds price. Global price settings override price language and spoken mode across workspace and contract profiles; they do not replace every sound setting.

Full prices, pit language and round numbers

Full format reads the rounded contract price. Pit format abbreviates supported prices using the last two whole-number digits and their fraction. Price even adds “even” at a whole-number price. Quote jargon uses “bid” and “offered” for quotes. Prices follow the feed tick size; high-precision or ambiguous hundred boundaries use the full price.

Advanced voice mixing

Master volume scales the output. Voice volume and Tone volume adjust their relative level. Browser speech rate and pitch affect synthetic speech; Recorded playback rate changes the playback of recorded phrases and also changes their pitch. Preview voice and Test tone let you compare the mix. Voice interval controls spacing. There is no long backlog of stale speech: competing cues can be dropped while speech is active.

Tone design and headphones

Choose Pulse, Soft, Bell, Wood, Radar or Glass. Note duration controls short trade tones and Alert duration controls alert tone length. Pitch can follow price, volume, speed or fixed bid/ask tones. Pitch range, variation, sensitivity and inverse pitch shape that mapping. Headphone mode places bid hits left and ask lifts right; Swap ears reverses this and Ear separation adjusts width. Unknown direction stays centered. Test both channels on your actual output device.
